Deschutes National Forest

Alcohol Prohibitions

This Order describes acts that are prohibited upon lands, roads and trails within the National Forest System administered by the Forest Service Pacific Northwest Region in regards to alcoholic beverages.

About

Todd Creek Horse Camp is a primitive equestrian campground situated near Todd Creek in the Deschutes National Forest, offering views of Mt. Bachelor. Designed primarily for horse campers, the facility includes metal corrals and a hand pump with stock watering trough. There is no potable water for humans, so campers must bring their own drinking water supply. The adjacent Todd Lake Trailhead provides direct access to the Metolius Windigo Horse Trail #99, making this an ideal base camp for multi-day equestrian trips into the Cascade wilderness. The trail system offers extensive riding opportunities through high alpine terrain. This is a day-use fee site requiring a recreation pass ($5/day, Northwest Forest Pass, or Interagency Pass). Passes cannot be purchased on-site but are available through Recreation.gov or Forest Service offices. Weed-free feed is mandatory for all horses brought to the Deschutes National Forest.
