About

Three Creeks Lake Campground is located on the south shore of Three Creeks Lake, a 28-acre alpine gem situated at 6,550 feet elevation in a glacial cirque below Tam McArthur Rim. The campground offers 11 sites surrounded by old growth forest with stunning views of the lake and nearby Three Sisters volcanic peaks. The lake varies from gentle slopes to rocky cliffs with a maximum depth of 28 feet, offering excellent fishing from shore, by wading, or by non-motorized boat. The campground provides easy access to the Tam McArthur Trail, which climbs onto Tam McArthur Rim and enters the Three Sisters Wilderness, offering spectacular views of North Sister (Faith), Middle Sister (Hope), and South Sister (Charity). The wilderness area borders the campground, so wilderness restrictions apply. A primitive boat ramp on the east shore accommodates canoes, kayaks, and other non-motorized watercraft. The campground can accommodate RVs, trailers, and tents with a maximum spur length of 50 feet, though the remote location and 17-mile drive on Forest Road 16 from Sisters make this better suited for smaller rigs. The nearby town of Sisters offers additional amenities, while the surrounding Deschutes National Forest provides access to the Cascade Lakes Scenic Byway and extensive trail systems.

Directions

From Sisters, travel 17 miles south on Forest Road 16 (Elm Street in Sisters).
