About

Three Creeks Lake Campground occupies a scenic position on the south shore of Three Creek Lake, a 28-acre alpine gem nestled in a glacial cirque below Tam McArthur Rim in the Deschutes National Forest. At 6,550 ft elevation, the campground is surrounded by old-growth forest with shoreline ranging from gentle slopes to rocky cliffs. The lake reaches a maximum depth of 28 feet and sustains planted rainbow trout and self-sustaining brook trout ranging 8 to 15 inches. The 11 sites accommodate tents and smaller RVs with a maximum spur length of 50 feet. Each site includes a picnic table and fire ring with grill. Vault toilets are provided, but there is no potable water, so campers must bring their own supply. A primitive boat ramp on the east shore allows non-motorized watercraft only. Neighboring Driftwood Campground serves as the trailhead for the Tam McArthur Trail, a reasonably easy hike offering panoramic views of the Three Sisters volcanic peaks. The campground borders the Three Sisters Wilderness, where wilderness regulations apply.
