About
Tioga Point Campground sits on the eastern shore of Raquette Lake in the heart of the Adirondack Park, accessible only by boat from Raquette Lake Village approximately 3 miles to the south. This primitive campground offers 25 sites total: 15 lean-to shelters and 10 tent sites, each equipped with a picnic table and fireplace. Vault toilets are available, but there is no potable water, so campers must bring their own supply.
The campground borders the 36,000-acre Sargent Pond Wild Forest, with the Tioga Point Trail beginning within the campground and connecting to an extensive trail system. Raquette Lake offers excellent fishing for lake trout, brook trout, smallmouth bass, and yellow perch. Quiet hours are enforced from 10 PM to 7 PM, and generators are prohibited.
This is a carry-in, carry-out facility, meaning campers must pack out all garbage. Firewood must be dead and down; chainsaws are not permitted. Pets are allowed with current rabies vaccination. Maximum stay is 14 consecutive nights.
