Open for the 2026 season from May 15 through September 6. Visitors may experience delays due to NY DOT bridge construction on Routes 30 and 28; construction noise may be audible from some sites. Reservations via ReserveAmerica up to 9 months in advance.
About
Lake Durant Campground occupies a scenic stretch of shoreline on 327-acre Lake Durant, three miles east of Blue Mountain Lake hamlet in the central Adirondacks. The campground offers 62 sites ranging from tent pads to spots suitable for RVs up to 30 feet. Facilities include a modern bathhouse with flush toilets and hot showers, potable water spigots, and a trailer dump station. Each site has a fire ring and picnic table. The day use area features a sand beach for swimming (unsupervised), a concrete boat launch (15' x 17'), and rowboat and kayak rentals. Fishing opportunities include tigermuskey, smallmouth bass, perch, and trout. An accessible fishing pier sits in the day use area, and Site 1A is designated ADA-accessible with a viewing area path. The campground provides trail access to the 133-mile Northville-Placid Trail and other hiking routes. Motor boating is permitted on the lake. Blue Mountain offers breathtaking views from its summit. Firewood and ice are available for purchase on-site.
