About

Golden Beach Campground occupies a prime location on the southeast shore of Raquette Lake, one of the largest lakes in New York's Adirondack Park. The 5,935-acre lake provides excellent opportunities for canoeing, kayaking, motorboating, and fishing. The campground features a sand beach with a swimming area and bathhouse, making it a popular destination for families during the summer season. The campground has 205 tent and trailer sites, all back-in style without hookups. Each site includes a picnic table and fireplace. Facilities include flush toilets, hot showers, a trailer dump station, and water spigots throughout. Firewood and ice are available for purchase. Hiking trails provide access to the surrounding Adirondack wilderness. Golden Beach operates seasonally from mid-May through early September. Reservations are available up to 9 months in advance through ReserveAmerica. The campground enforces a 14-night maximum stay during peak season from July 1 through Labor Day.

From the Adirondack Northway (I-87), take Exit 23 at Warrensburg. Take Route 9 North to Route 28 West through Indian Lake and Blue Mountain Lake. The campground is about 8 miles west of Blue Mountain Lake on the right side of Route 28.
