The Bridges Campground is located in beautiful Huntington Canyon along the Huntington Canyon National Scenic Byway (Utah Highway 31) at approximately 8,100 feet elevation. The campground is divided into two sections: the main Bridges Campground on the east side of the highway contains two single sites, one group site for up to 30 people, and a vault toilet; across the highway, Bridges Riverside features two double sites situated directly next to Huntington Creek. Large spruce trees and aspens provide ample shade throughout the campground. Huntington Creek, which runs alongside the property, is designated as a Blue Ribbon fishery offering high-quality fishing for brown, cutthroat, and rainbow trout. The canyon area features numerous lakes and streams, vibrant summer wildflowers, colorful fall foliage, and abundant wildlife. Recreational opportunities abound in the area. The 6-mile Left Fork of the Huntington National Recreation Trail is nearby and open to hikers and horseback riders, while the 10-mile Fish Creek Trail accommodates hiking, mountain biking, and horseback riding. Although horses are not allowed within the campground itself, two hitching racks are provided across the highway. The Huntington Canyon National Scenic Byway is part of the 86-mile Energy Loop, offering stunning mountain and lake views as it climbs above 10,000 feet elevation. The historic Stuart Guard Station Visitor Center nearby provides exhibits of Civilian Conservation Corps projects and insights into 1930s ranger life.

Directions

From Huntington, Utah, travel northwest on Highway 31 for approximately 21-23 miles. The campground is located on the right (west) side of the highway, about 0.5 miles past Old Folks Flat Campground at the mouth of Day Canyon.
