About
Old Folks Flat Campground is nestled in Huntington Canyon along Utah Highway 31, part of the Huntington Canyon National Scenic Byway. At 8,600 feet elevation, the campground is shaded by large spruce trees and aspens. The facility includes both single-family campsites and five group sites that can accommodate 20, 50, or 60 people with adjacent parking areas. The campground has been recently upgraded with flush toilets and drinking water spigots. All sites are equipped with picnic tables and campfire rings with grills. Roads and parking spurs within the campground are gravel, and the facility is accessible via paved road from Highway 31. Nearby Huntington Creek is a Blue Ribbon fishery offering brown, cutthroat, and rainbow trout. The 6-mile Left Fork of the Huntington National Recreation Trail is accessible from trailheads about a mile away in either direction, with a trail passing through the campground connecting to Engineer Canyon and Stuart Guard Station Interpretive Site.
Directions
From Huntington, Utah, head northwest on Highway 31 for approximately 20.5 miles. The campground is 1 mile past Stuart Guard Station on the right side of the road.
