Closed — Closed for the season. Opens Memorial Day weekend and operates through October. The group site accepts reservations through September 30; after that date, it is available first-come, first-served. OHV riding is not allowed within the campground except for entering and exiting.

About

Miller Flat Reservoir Campground is nestled in a high mountain valley at 8,500 feet elevation near Miller Flat Reservoir in the Manti-La Sal National Forest. The campground rests in a stand of aspen and spruce trees, with sites ranging from partial to full shade throughout the day. Visitors enjoy fishing and canoeing at the nearby reservoir, horseback riding, and exploring the expansive Arapeen OHV Trail System, which offers more than 350 miles of designated, maintained trails accessible directly from the campground. The campground includes three double family sites available on a first-come, first-served basis only, plus one group site that can be reserved. Nearby attractions include Potters Ponds (a popular trout fishery about seven miles south), Skyline Drive, Lake Canyon Recreation Area, and Cleveland and Huntington Reservoirs to the north. The Left Fork of Huntington National Recreation Trail is located 1.5 miles north of the campground, with additional hiking opportunities in Scad Valley two miles south. The group site is set in an open meadow with aspen and fir trees bordering the northern perimeter.

Directions

From Fairview, Utah, proceed east on Utah Highway 31 for approximately 18 miles to Miller Flat Road (Forest Road 0014). Turn south and proceed through Lake Canyon Recreation Area, past Miller Flat Reservoir to Forest Road 3328. Turn left (east) on this road to enter the campground.
