About

Located in beautiful Huntington Canyon along the Huntington Canyon National Scenic Byway on Utah Highway 31, Forks of Huntington Campground sits at 7,600 feet elevation within the Manti-La Sal National Forest. The campground is nestled in thick stands of pine trees that provide plentiful shade, with the Left Fork of Huntington Creek flowing through the property. The creek is a Blue Ribbon fishery known for high-quality fishing for brown, cutthroat, and rainbow trout. The campground offers only three sites total: two single-family campsites and one large group site accommodating up to 40 people. Trails begin directly from the campground, including the 6-mile Left Fork of Huntington National Recreation Trail for hiking and horseback riding, and the nearby 10-mile Fish Creek National Recreation Trail for hiking, biking, and horses. The canyon area features numerous lakes and streams, vibrant summer wildflowers, colorful fall foliage, and abundant wildlife. The campground is part of the 86-mile Energy Loop scenic byway system and is located near the historic Stuart Guard Station Visitor Center. Popular activities include fishing, hunting, hiking, mountain biking, horseback riding, rock climbing, and scenic driving. The area offers moderate use levels and a true backcountry camping experience in the heart of Huntington Canyon's natural beauty.
