About
Big Rock Group Campground is located in scenic Huntington Canyon along the Huntington Canyon National Scenic Byway (Utah Highway 31), approximately 20 miles west of Huntington, Utah. Situated at 7,600 feet elevation, the campground sits alongside Huntington Creek with pine and fir trees framing the perimeter, though the interior offers limited shade. The site features a large gravel parking area that comfortably accommodates RVs up to 40 feet in length. The campground provides a single group site for up to 50 people with parking for 12 vehicles. Site amenities include picnic tables, serving tables, benches, a fire ring, and Dutch oven stands. Accessible vault toilets are available, but drinking water is not provided on-site. Potable water can be obtained one mile north at the Stuart Guard Station. This is a pack-in/pack-out site, so campers should bring garbage bags. Huntington Creek is a Blue Ribbon fishery offering quality brown, cutthroat, and rainbow trout fishing. The nearby Left Fork of Huntington National Recreation Trail (4-6 miles) and Fish Creek Trail (10 miles) provide opportunities for hiking, biking, and horseback riding. ATVs and livestock are prohibited within the campground.
