About
Bridges Campground is a primitive high-elevation campground at approximately 8,700 feet in Huntington Canyon within Manti-La Sal National Forest. Located along the Huntington Canyon National Scenic Byway (Utah Highway 31), the campground features 5 single/double sites and 1 group site that accommodates up to 30 people. Large spruce trees and aspens provide ample shade throughout the campground. Huntington Creek flows alongside the campground and is designated a Blue Ribbon fishery, offering quality angling for brown, cutthroat, and rainbow trout. The Left Fork of Huntington National Recreation Trail (4 miles) and Fish Creek Trail (10 miles) are nearby for hiking, biking, and horseback riding. Although horses are not permitted in the campground itself, hitching racks are provided across the highway. This is a pack-it-in, pack-it-out campground with no potable water, so campers must bring their own water supply. The campground operates mid-May through late September and offers both reservable sites via Recreation.gov and first-come, first-served availability.
Directions
From Huntington, Utah, travel northwest on Utah Highway 31 for approximately 21-23 miles. The campground is on the right side of the road, about half a mile past Old Folks Flat Campground, at the mouth of Day Canyon.
