Bridges Campground is located at the mouth of Day Canyon in beautiful Huntington Canyon, positioned along the Huntington Canyon National Scenic Byway (Utah Highway 31) at an elevation of approximately 8,700 feet. The campground offers four single-family campsites and one group site that accommodates up to 30 people, all nestled under large spruce trees and aspens that provide plentiful shade. Huntington Creek flows alongside the campground, offering excellent fishing opportunities in this Blue Ribbon fishery known for brown, cutthroat, and rainbow trout. The campground is primitive with vault toilets but no drinking water, electricity, or garbage services. Visitors must pack in all supplies and pack out all trash. Roads and parking spurs are dirt. Horses are not allowed in the campground, though two hitching racks are provided across the highway. The area provides access to multiple trails including the 4-mile Left Fork of the Huntington National Recreation Trail for hikers and horseback riders, and the 10-mile Fish Creek Trail for hiking, biking, and horseback riding. The canyon area features numerous lakes and streams, vibrant summer wildflowers, colorful fall foliage, and abundant wildlife. Popular activities include fishing, hunting, hiking, mountain biking, horseback riding, rock climbing, and scenic driving along the Energy Loop National Scenic Byway. The historic Stuart Guard Station Visitor Center is nearby, offering exhibits of Civilian Conservation Corps projects and original equipment.

Directions

From Huntington, Utah, travel north on Utah Highway 31 for 23 miles to the campground. It is on the west side of Highway 31, at the mouth of Day Canyon.
