About

Sunset Campground sits in Farmington Canyon within the Uinta-Wasatch-Cache National Forest in Davis County, Utah. The campground is accessed by traveling north on 100 East in Farmington, which becomes Skyline Drive and winds up the gravelly canyon road. The campground is currently administratively closed by the Forest Service. Before its closure, Sunset Campground offered approximately 10 first-come, first-served sites, with most sites being small and suitable for one or two tents. The campground previously provided vault toilets, picnic tables, fire rings, and water spigots. Historically, the campground served as a boundary marker for winter camping restrictions in upper Farmington Canyon, with camping prohibited within 1/2 mile of the road above the campground from November 1 to April 1 to maintain access to Francis Peak for FAA personnel.

Directions
