About
Mueller Park Group Picnic Area is a popular day-use destination located just 5 miles from Bountiful, Utah, at an elevation of 5,400 feet in the Uinta-Wasatch-Cache National Forest. The area features 18 group picnic sites that can accommodate groups ranging from 16 to 100 people, each equipped with picnic tables, campfire rings, and grills. Shady maple, aspen, cottonwood, willow, pine, and fir trees surround the sites, offering a cool retreat with Mill Creek tumbling through the area. Mueller Canyon is known for its excellent trail system. The Mueller Park Trail stretches 13 miles, gradually climbing through dense forests before passing the iconic Elephant Rock and ending at Rudy's Flat. The trails are open to hiking, mountain biking, dirt biking, and horseback riding. Nearby Kenney Creek Trail provides access to the Great Western Trail, while North Park Trail connects with Grandview Peak Trail and Cottonwood Gulch. Summer wildflowers and autumn foliage add seasonal color to this scenic area popular for river fishing and trail exploration.
