About
Cemetery Point Picnic Area sits on the shores of Pineview Reservoir in Ogden Valley, about 15 miles east of Ogden, Utah. The reservoir lies at 5,000 feet elevation on the backside of the Wasatch Front, surrounded by patchwork farmland and mountain peaks. This is a day-use only facility and does not permit overnight camping. The picnic area provides tables in nice grassy, shaded areas with pedestal grills for cooking. A boat ramp offers direct access to the reservoir, and there is a swimming beach. Vault restrooms are available, but no potable water is provided. Visitors should bring their own drinking water. Pineview Reservoir offers excellent boating, swimming, fishing, water skiing, jet skiing, tubing, paddling, and sailing. Dogs are not allowed on the beach. Alcohol is prohibited at day-use areas with a minimum $250 fine. No fires or grills are permitted on the shoreline. All watercraft must stop at aquatic invasive species inspection stations before launching.
