Cemetery Point Picnic Area is a popular day-use recreation site located on the western shore of Pineview Reservoir in the Ogden Valley, just 15 miles from Ogden. The facility provides access to one of Utah's busiest and most popular reservoirs, set against the scenic backdrop of the Wasatch Mountain Range. Cemetery Point features a sandy swimming beach, boat ramp, picnic areas, and restrooms, making it a favorite destination for families and groups enjoying water recreation. The reservoir offers excellent opportunities for boating, swimming, fishing, water skiing, and windsurfing. Pineview Reservoir lies in a beautiful valley comprised of patchwork farmland surrounded by peaks. The Ogden River Scenic Byway provides access through 44 miles of Utah's most beautiful mountains and countryside.
This is a fee area operated by Utah Recreation Company, with day-use and boat launch fees charged during the operating season. The facility is open from 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. when operational. Visitors should note that this is a day-use area only; no overnight camping is permitted. The fee area includes picnic tables, a paved parking lot, and a boat ramp for easy reservoir access. Free beach access is available at other locations around Pineview Reservoir including Windsurfer Beach, North Arm, and Spring Creek.
Directions
Follow Highway 39 to the east side of Huntsville. Follow signs to the swim beach and marina. Cemetery Point is at the end of the road through Huntsville.
