About
Bountiful Peak Campground is set in an alpine basin high in the Wasatch Mountains at 7,500 feet elevation, offering a scenic retreat just 9 miles from Farmington, Utah. The campground is surrounded by a mixed forest of conifer and aspen trees that provide partial shade during summer and brilliant color displays in autumn. Wildlife and summer wildflowers are abundant throughout the area. Numerous trails within the vicinity offer beautiful views of Great Salt Lake and the Wasatch Back, making this an ideal base for hikers, mountain bikers, and off-road vehicle enthusiasts. Skyline Drive passes near the campground, providing scenic driving opportunities. Farmington Creek and several tributaries run through the area, offering fishing opportunities, and the forest supports in-season hunting activities. The campground features 39 single sites, 4 double sites, 1 group site accommodating up to 80 people, and day-use picnic areas. Access is via a steep, narrow, winding gravel road through Farmington Canyon. Due to the challenging road conditions, trailers over 24 feet are not recommended. The campground has restrooms but no potable water, so visitors must bring their own water supply.
