This includes the following highways... Interstate 15 between mile markers 294 and 325. Interstate 80 in Utah between mile markers 115 and 131.
About
Sunrise Campground is located close to Bear Lake Summit in the Uinta-Wasatch-Cache National Forest at an elevation of 7,800 feet, just 6 miles west of Garden City and Bear Lake, Utah. The campground consists of 27 sites arranged in two loops, including standard campsites and glamping yurt options. Mixed-growth conifer and aspen forest provide partial shade and privacy between sites, with abundant wildflowers appearing in summer. The campground features paved roads and parking spurs, with each site equipped with a picnic table and fire ring. Vault toilets and drinking water are provided. The site is managed by a concessionaire and reservations are available through Recreation.gov. A 7-day stay limit applies, with a 2-night minimum on weekends and 3-night minimum on holiday weekends. Outdoor recreation opportunities abound in the area. The Limber Pine Trail, a family-friendly one-mile loop leading to a 500-year-old Limber Pine, begins less than a half-mile from the campground. Bear Lake Summit is one mile away and offers picnic tables, interpretive displays, and breathtaking views. Bear Lake itself provides endless opportunities for boating, waterskiing, jet skiing, scuba diving, swimming, hiking, biking, and horseback riding.
Directions
From Logan, Utah, take Highway 89 east for 31 miles, then turn south onto FR102. Follow for 0.6 miles to campground. Sunrise is one mile west of Bear Lake Summit and 6 miles west of Garden City, Utah.
