Bear Lake State Park encompasses three distinct recreation areas along the shores of Bear Lake, known for its striking turquoise waters caused by suspended limestone particles. The park straddles the Utah-Idaho border in Rich County and offers diverse camping experiences from developed RV sites to primitive beach camping. Rendezvous Beach, located northwest of Laketown, serves as the primary camping hub with four campgrounds. Birch Campground features 57 full-hookup sites with power, water, and sewer connections, site lengths ranging from 64 to 105 feet, and both pull-through and back-in options. Big Creek Campground adds 46 full-hookup sites with fire rings and picnic tables. Cottonwood Campground provides tent-only camping with vault toilets. The area includes flush toilets and showers for campers. The Eastside areas offer additional options: South Eden and North Eden campgrounds provide partial hookups with power and water, while Cisco Beach remains the park's only first-come-first-served campground with 59 primitive sites and vault toilets available year-round. Rainbow Cove is being developed with primitive sites featuring covered picnic tables and fire rings.

Directions

Rendezvous Beach is located 2 miles northwest of Laketown on State Route 30. The Marina is north of Garden City at the US 89/SR 30 junction. Eastside campgrounds are accessible from the east shore of Bear Lake.
