About

Beaver Creek Campground offers a peaceful, no-frills camping experience along the banks of its namesake creek in the Caribou-Targhee National Forest. Located approximately 7 miles southwest of St. Charles, Idaho near the Utah border, this small campground sits at about 6,100 feet elevation surrounded by stands of pine and aspen trees. The campground has five single-family sites, each equipped with a picnic table and campfire ring. Vault toilets are available during the summer operating season. There is no potable water, so campers must bring their own supply. Roads and parking spurs are dirt or gravel. Sites are limited to two vehicles each. Numerous hiking and mountain biking trails crisscross the surrounding area, making this an excellent base camp for exploring the scenic high country of southeast Idaho. Hunting opportunities are also available in season. The campground operates on a first-come, first-served basis with no advance reservations.
