About

Beaver Creek Campground is situated along the banks of Beaver Creek, approximately seven miles southwest of St. Charles, Idaho, just north of the Idaho-Utah border. Located in the Caribou-Targhee National Forest at an elevation of around 6,100 feet, this small campground is accessible via Forest Road 411 off U.S. Highway 89 near Fish Haven. The tranquil Beaver Creek is bordered by dense stands of pines and aspens, offering cool shade in the summer and a peaceful setting amid the rugged beauty of southeast Idaho's high country. The campground features five single-family sites, each equipped with picnic tables and campfire rings. Roads and parking spurs are dirt or gravel with a two-car limit per site. Vault toilets are available during the operating season, though no potable water is available at any time. Numerous hiking and mountain biking trails crisscross the surrounding area, providing ample opportunities to explore the scenic wilderness and enjoy the region's natural splendor. This is a first-come, first-served facility with no advance reservations. The fee is $10 per night during the operating season. The campground provides a quiet, primitive camping experience for those seeking to explore the Bear River Range and surrounding backcountry of southeast Idaho.
