About

Red Banks Campground is located along the scenic Logan River in the Uinta-Wasatch-Cache National Forest, approximately 23 miles northeast of Logan, Utah via US Route 89. The campground takes its name from the colorful steep red bank of sandstone and conglomerate directly across the river. Aspens and willows provide partial shade to campsites, while heavy grasses and shrubs offer privacy between sites. The campground features 13 single sites, each equipped with a picnic table and fire ring. Vault restrooms are available. There is no potable water on site, so campers must bring all water needed. No electrical, water, or sewer hookups are available. Pets are allowed with a maximum of two per site, and must remain on a leash no longer than 6 feet at all times. Popular recreation includes fishing in Logan River and nearby creeks, hiking Trail 051 to the south, and exploring the Tony Grove area. Bear Lake, known as the Caribbean of the Rockies for its turquoise-blue water, is a short drive north and offers boating, sailing, and additional fishing opportunities.

From Garden City, UT, at the intersection of State Route 30 and US Route 89, take Route 89 south 17.4 miles to the campground sign. Turn right at the sign into the campground.
