Lodgepole Campground is located in scenic Daniels Canyon within the Uinta-Wasatch-Cache National Forest, at an elevation of 7,800 feet. The campground sits along Daniels Creek in a forested setting of pine, fir, and aspen, with willows lining the creek bank and summer wildflowers dotting the landscape. Daniels Creek is stocked with rainbow, brown, and cutthroat trout, making it a convenient spot for anglers. The Foreman Hollow Trail begins directly from the campground, offering an easy-to-moderate 4-mile loop hike with excellent views of Strawberry Reservoir, Strawberry Peak, and Twin Peaks. Strawberry Reservoir is just 12 miles away, providing additional opportunities for fishing, boating, and canoeing. The Strawberry OHV Trail System offers 75 miles of trails for off-highway vehicles, and the Strawberry Visitor Center features interpretive displays, a working fish trap, and a nature trail. The campground includes individual sites in Loop A and two group camping areas in Loop B, accommodating parties of up to 50 and 130 people respectively. Sites are back-in only with paved driveways, and some can accommodate vehicles up to 67 feet. There are no hookups; this is standard nonelectric camping. A dump station is available, and camping fees include dump station access.

Directions

From Heber City, Utah, take Highway 40 east for 15 miles. The campground is on the right side of the highway.
