About
Soldier Creek Long Term Campground provides extended-stay camping opportunities on the shore of Strawberry Reservoir in the Uinta-Wasatch-Cache National Forest. Situated at 7,200 feet elevation, the campground features non-electric sites set among rolling sagebrush-covered hills with small pine trees that provide minimal shade. Most campsites offer panoramic views of the reservoir and surrounding valley. This long-term facility requires a minimum stay of 30 consecutive days and allows a maximum stay for the entire summer season. The campground includes vault toilets and drinking water from spigots, with firewood available for purchase from the host. A dump station and boat ramps are provided at the facility. Senior Pass discounts do not apply to long-term sites. Strawberry Reservoir is renowned for fishing rainbow trout, cutthroat trout, and Kokanee salmon, plus excellent boating and water skiing opportunities. The campground provides direct beach access to the reservoir. Nearby attractions include the 75-mile Strawberry OHV Trail System for hiking and mountain biking, and the Strawberry Visitor Center with interpretive displays, a working fish trap, and nature trail. The marina and store are located close to the campground.
