About

Aspen Grove Campground occupies a scenic mountain setting near Soldier Creek Dam above Strawberry Reservoir in the Uinta-Wasatch-Cache National Forest. At 7,800 feet elevation, the campground features 60 sites across two distinct loops. Loop A nestles among dense aspen groves providing shade and spectacular fall foliage, while Loop B spreads across open sagebrush terrain with unobstructed reservoir views but no shade. The campground offers paved roads and spurs, cement pads, picnic tables, fire circles, flush toilets, and potable water. Site types include standard nonelectric, three electric sites, tent-only sites, and two yurts. Three sites are ADA accessible. Strawberry Reservoir is renowned for excellent fishing (rainbow trout, cutthroat trout, Kokanee salmon), boating, and water skiing. The Aspen Grove Day Use Area sits less than a quarter mile below the campground, providing a boat ramp, boat rentals, slips, fish cleaning station, and small general store. The 12-mile Strawberry Narrows Trail begins at the day-use area, open to hiking, mountain biking, and horseback riding. The Strawberry OHV Trail System offers 75 miles of trails nearby.
