About
Soldier Creek Vacation Cabin sits among sagebrush-covered hills overlooking Strawberry Reservoir at 7,200 feet elevation in Uinta-Wasatch-Cache National Forest. This spacious group cabin sleeps up to 16 people and can accommodate gatherings of up to 50 total, with parking for a maximum of 4 trailers. The cabin features one bedroom with a queen bed, one with two single beds, and four rooms with bunk beds. The cabin comes fully equipped with a kitchen including pots and pans, though guests must bring their own linens, plates, cups, and flatware. Utilities are included. The main floor has an ADA-accessible bathroom, while the top floor features a community-style bathroom with shower. A comfortable gathering area with sofas, chairs, TV, and DVD player provides space for groups to relax together. Strawberry Reservoir offers exceptional fishing for rainbow trout, cutthroat trout, and Kokanee salmon. Beach access is available at Soldier Creek Day Use Area, with a boat ramp, marina, boat rentals, fish cleaning station, and general store nearby. The area also features 75 miles of OHV trails popular with hikers, mountain bikers, and horseback riders. The Strawberry Visitor Center has interpretive displays and a working fish trap.
Directions
From Heber City, Utah, take Highway 40 eastbound for 33 miles. Turn right onto the restricted-usage road to access the cabin.
