Soldier Creek Vacation Cabin is a large vacation rental facility located next to Strawberry Reservoir at 7,200 feet elevation in the Uinta-Wasatch-Cache National Forest. The cabin can accommodate up to 50 people with sleeping capacity for 16 guests across multiple bedrooms including one queen bedroom, one bedroom with two single beds, and four rooms with bunk beds. The main floor features an ADA-accessible bathroom and a gathering area equipped with sofas, chairs, TV, and DVD player, while the upper floor has community-style bathrooms and showers.
The fully equipped kitchen provides pots and pans, though guests must bring their own linens, dishes, silverware, cups, and glasses. Up to four trailers can be accommodated on the property. The facility is set among sagebrush-covered hills with sweeping views of Strawberry Reservoir and surrounding mountains dotted with small pine trees.
Strawberry Reservoir is renowned for its excellent fishing for rainbow trout, cutthroat trout, and Kokanee salmon, plus opportunities for boating, water skiing, and canoeing. The nearby Soldier Creek Day Use Area provides beach access, and amenities including a boat ramp, marina with boat rentals, fish cleaning station, and small general store are located close by. The area also offers access to the 75-mile Strawberry OHV Trail System popular with hikers, mountain bikers, and horseback riders, plus the Strawberry Visitor Center with interpretive displays and nature trails.
Directions
Take Highway 40 eastbound from Heber City, Utah for 33 miles. Turn right onto restricted usage road to access facility.
