About

Spring Mountains Visitor Gateway Group Picnic Sites is a day-use only facility located in the Spring Mountains National Recreation Area near Las Vegas. The complex includes a visitor center, education building, two amphitheaters, and access to over 40 miles of trails. The site also houses the Silent Heroes of the Cold War National Memorial and Seven Stones Plaza honoring the Nuwuvi people. The two group picnic areas, Pinyon and Ponderosa, each offer seating for 40+ guests, dual charcoal grills, a large fire pit, a power outlet, lighting, and sweeping views of Kyle Canyon. Both sites meet ADA accessibility standards. Flush toilets and drinking water are provided, though these may be unavailable during the non-peak season. This is strictly a day-use facility with no overnight camping permitted. No parking is available for trailers or RVs at the picnic sites. Peak season runs May 1 through September 30 with full-day or half-day reservations available. Non-peak season (January 1 through April 30) offers full-day bookings only.
