Open — Open year-round with both reservable sites and first-come-first-served sites available. During monsoon season (mid-July to mid-September), the campground may temporarily close due to its location in a flood plain, with overnight stays available only as weather permits.

About

Fletcher View Campground sits in the beautiful Spring Mountains National Recreation Area, a forested island in the desert just 24 miles from Las Vegas. Set in an open forest of ponderosa pine, mountain mahogany, and Gambel oak, the campground parallels a seasonal stream and offers most sites with views of the surrounding towering canyon walls. At 7,000 feet elevation, this recently updated campground provides a cool escape from the desert heat below. The campground contains 11 sites, including 9 single sites and 2 double-family sites. All sites have electric hookups, picnic tables, campfire rings, and grills. Roads and parking spurs are paved, making it accessible for RVs. Drinking water is provided via shared spigots between sites, though these cannot be used to fill RV tanks directly. A paved nature trail offers easy access to the surrounding forest, and the campground is located near the Fletcher Canyon Trailhead. The Spring Mountains National Recreation Area is home to diverse flora and fauna, including the ancient Bristlecone pine and the rare Mount Charleston blue butterfly. More than 60 miles of hiking and horseback riding trails crisscross the area, with two trails allowing mountain biking. Rock climbing, wildlife viewing, picnicking, and scenic driving are popular activities. The area is named for the more than 100 springs found throughout the mountain range.

Directions

From Las Vegas, travel north on US-95 to the junction with NV-157/Kyle Canyon. Turn left and travel approximately 18 miles; the campground is on the left side of the highway.
