Open

Open year-round, first-come-first-served. During monsoon season (mid-July to mid-September), the campground may temporarily close due to its location in a flood plain, and overnight stays are available only as weather permits. Call ahead to check current fire restrictions.

About

Fletcher View Campground is a small, well-equipped forest campground nestled in the Spring Mountains National Recreation Area, just 24 miles from Las Vegas. Set in an open forest of ponderosa pine, mountain mahogany, and Gambel oak along Kyle Canyon Wash, most sites offer views of the surrounding towering canyon walls. This area is home to the ancient Bristlecone pine and the rare Mount Charleston blue butterfly. The campground has 11 sites, all featuring 30/50 amp electric hookups, fire rings, picnic tables, and grills. Flush toilets and shared drinking water spigots are provided, though the water spigots cannot fill RV tanks. Dogs are welcome on leash, but stock animals are not allowed. More than 60 miles of hiking and horseback riding trails crisscross the Spring Mountains, with the nearby Fletcher Canyon Trailhead providing direct access to Fletcher Canyon, Eagle's Nest, and Acastus trails. Rock climbing, picnicking, and scenic driving are also popular activities in this forested desert oasis.

Directions

From Las Vegas, travel north on Highway 95 to the junction with Highway 157/Kyle Canyon. Turn left and travel approximately 18 miles; the campground is on the left side of the highway.
