About

Spring Creek Campground is a small, accessible campground in the Helena-Lewis and Clark National Forest's Little Belt Mountains, featuring 10 campsites in a lush riparian zone along Spring Creek. Located only 4 miles from Highway 12 via Spring Creek Road, the campground offers easy access while providing a peaceful creekside setting where campers can wade, fish, or simply enjoy the natural surroundings. The campground serves as a trailhead for ATV users, with connections to non-motorized trails offering sweeping views of the surrounding mountain ranges. Each campsite includes a fire ring or grill and picnic table. The campground features at least one handicap-accessible vault toilet, and potable water is available during the warmer months when the campground is operational. Spring Creek Campground operates on a first-come, first-served basis with no advance reservations available. The campground can accommodate trailers up to 35 feet but is not recommended for large RVs. A food storage order is in effect from March 1st to December 1st to prevent human-bear conflicts, requiring proper storage of all unattended food and attractants. Camping is limited to 16 consecutive days in one location. Leashed dogs are welcome, but horses are not allowed in the campground.
