* WHAT...Heavy snow expected. Total snow accumulations between 6 and 14 inches. Winds gusting as high as 40 mph. * WHERE...Elkhorn and Boulder Mountains, Little Belt and Highwood Mountains, and Snowy and Judith Mountains. * WHEN...From 6 PM this evening to 6 AM MDT Monday. * IMPACTS...Travel could be very difficult. Gusty winds combined with the wet and heavy nature of the snow could bring down tree branches. Isolated power outages are possible. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Snowfall amounts will vary drastically from grassy surfaces to roadways, most notably at lower elevations, with accumulations on non-grassy surfaces being confined mainly to between the evening through late morning hours.

About
Hay Canyon Campground is a small, lightly-used campground tucked into the Little Belt Mountains of the Helena-Lewis and Clark National Forest. The 7 sites sit near the South Fork of the Judith River, providing convenient access for anglers targeting trout. ATV and motorbike enthusiasts will find scenic trails in the surrounding area. This is a primitive campground with vault toilets but no potable water. Campers must bring their own drinking water. The area sees bear activity, and mandatory food storage in approved containers is required. All food must be removed from the area after eating. Access is via 17 miles of gravel road from Utica. The maximum recommended trailer length is 30 feet. Stays are limited to 16 days. The campground operates first-come, first-served at $10 per night.
Directions
At Hobson on US Highway 87, turn into town and follow Montana Highway 239 to Utica. At Utica, turn left onto a county gravel road. Travel 17 miles southwest to campground.
