About

Many Pines Campground is situated in a stand of lodgepole pine directly off US Highway 89 in the Little Belt Mountains of Helena-Lewis and Clark National Forest. The campground's 23 sites stretch along Belt Creek at an elevation of 5,900 feet, offering convenient access for campers with large RVs. With a maximum trailer slot of 51 feet, it is the most accommodating campground for big rigs along the Highway 89 corridor. Belt Creek provides opportunities for trout fishing, though anglers must follow mandatory catch and release rules for cutthroat trout. The campground serves as an excellent base camp for exploring the Little Belts, with the popular Memorial Falls trailhead located approximately one mile north. All campsites include a fire ring or grill and picnic table, and the campground features at least one ADA-accessible vault toilet and drinking water from a hand pump during warmer months. As with all Helena-Lewis and Clark National Forest campgrounds, Many Pines operates on a first-come, first-served basis with no reservations available. A food storage order is in effect from March 1st to December 1st to prevent human-bear conflicts. Camping is limited to 16 consecutive days, and leashed dogs are welcome while horses and motorized OHVs are restricted.

Directions
