About

Daisy Dean Camp Campground sits in the scenic Little Belt Mountains of central Montana within the Helena-Lewis and Clark National Forest. This primitive, no-fee campground operates on a first-come, first-served basis and is particularly popular with equestrians thanks to its horse corrals and hitching posts located near the campground entrance. The campground provides basic facilities including a vault toilet, though campers must bring their own water as no potable water is available on site. Bears frequent the area, making proper food storage mandatory. All food must be kept out of sight in approved containers and removed from the area after eating. Access depends on road conditions, with seasonal closures possible due to snow. The area offers recreation opportunities including horseback riding, hiking, ATV/OHV use, and picnicking. Nearby attractions include Belt Creek and Sluice Boxes State Park.
