Hunting Island State Park is South Carolina's most visited state park, drawing over a million visitors annually to its 5 miles of pristine beaches and thousands of acres of marsh and maritime forest. Two campgrounds sit at the northern end of the park near the ocean, offering easy beach access via dedicated walkways and a playground for families. The campground provides 102 standard sites with individual water and electrical hookups featuring 20/30 and 50 amp service. Some sites accommodate RVs up to 40 feet while others handle rigs up to 28 feet. A separate 25-site tent camping area offers tent pads, fire rings, picnic tables, and centralized water but no electrical hookups. A primitive group camping area serves organized groups up to 30 people. Facilities include restrooms with hot showers, a dump station, laundry, and a camp store open daily. Complimentary WiFi covers the entire campground. The historic Hunting Island Lighthouse and Nature Center provide additional attractions, though visitors should verify lighthouse hours as it occasionally closes for maintenance.

From I-95, take US-21 South through Beaufort. Continue on US-21 (Sea Island Parkway) approximately 16 miles past Beaufort to the park entrance at 2555 Sea Island Parkway, Hunting Island, SC 29920.
