Edisto Beach State Park encompasses 1,255 acres on Edisto Island and stands as one of only four oceanfront state parks in South Carolina. The park offers two distinct camping areas: an ocean-side campground with views of the Atlantic and a Live Oak Campground near the salt marsh. Together they provide 112 standard sites with water and 20/30/50 amp electrical service, plus 5 rustic walk-in tent sites with tent pads and centralized water. The park features 1.5 miles of shell-covered beach and over 4 miles of ADA-accessible trails traversing hammock islands and maritime forest. An Environmental Learning Center showcases the natural history of Edisto Island and the ACE Basin with interactive exhibits and live animals. Each campground has restrooms with hot showers, and a dump station operates daily from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. Reservations can be made up to 13 months in advance with a 2-night minimum stay. Maximum stay is 14 consecutive nights per site, with a cumulative limit of 42 nights out of 49 days. Several sites accommodate RVs up to 40 feet.

From Charleston, take US-17 South to SC-174 (Edisto Island Road). Follow SC-174 for approximately 22 miles to Edisto Island. The park entrance is at 8377 State Cabin Road, Edisto Island, SC 29438.
