Santee State Park Campground is situated on the scenic shores of Lake Marion in South Carolina's renowned Santee Cooper Country. The park features two distinct campgrounds: the 50-site Cypress View Campground on the west side and the 108-site Lakeshore Campground on the east side. Each site is built on packed sand and equipped with individual water and electric hookups along with picnic tables. Both campgrounds provide convenient access to restroom facilities with hot showers, and many sites can accommodate RVs up to 40 feet in length. The park also offers a primitive group camping area ideal for organized groups of up to 100 people, complete with central water access and nearby restroom facilities. With a prime location on Lake Marion, visitors enjoy opportunities for fishing, boating, hiking, and biking. The park features self-serve kayak rentals, an electric vehicle charging station, and a park store. Reservations are accepted year-round and can be made up to 13 months in advance through the South Carolina State Parks reservation system, with a minimum two-night stay required.
