An arctic front will move west to east across the region this morning, bringing snow showers and wind gusts of 35 to 40 mph. Some snow squalls are also possible along the front, briefly reducing visibilites to one-half mile or less and quickly coating area roadways. Drivers are urged to use caution and be prepared for rapidly changing conditions.

South Bass Island State Park Campground sits atop dramatic white limestone cliffs on South Bass Island in Lake Erie, offering a scenic lakeside camping experience near the village of Put-in-Bay. The 33-acre park features a wooded campground with 135 sites, including approximately 125 non-electric sites, 64 electric sites, and 10 full-service sites with electric, water, and sewer hookups. The campground provides modern amenities including flush toilets, hot showers, and a dump station. The park offers excellent lake access with a fishing pier, boat launch ramp, and stone beach area. A camp store serves campers during the peak season. Rental cabins and unique tent-cabin hybrid units are also available. The campground is located just over a mile from downtown Put-in-Bay via Catawba Avenue, providing easy access to island attractions including Perry's Cave, Heineman's Winery, and Perry's Victory Memorial while maintaining a quiet, natural setting. South Bass Island is accessible only by ferry or private boat. The campground's elevated position on the cliffs provides beautiful views of Lake Erie and creates a unique landmark visible from the water. Pet-friendly sites are available on designated loops.
