Findley State Park Campground

Nestled within 838 acres of heavily wooded terrain, Findley State Park Campground provides a peaceful camping experience in northeast Ohio's Lorain County. The campground features 272 campsites scattered throughout sunny and shaded areas beneath stately pines and various hardwood trees including white ash and black cherry. Campers can choose from 91 electric hookup sites or 159 non-electric sites, all pet-friendly on designated sites. Each campsite includes a fire ring and picnic table. The campground provides full amenities for comfortable camping, including flush toilets, hot showers (closed daily from 12:30-2:30 PM for cleaning), laundry facilities, a dump station, a game room, and a fully stocked camp store located at the nature center. A recreation area offers sand volleyball, basketball court, and horseshoe pits for camper use. Three rustic camper cabins with cots, dining fly, and multi-level picnic grill are available for rent during summer months. Beyond the campground, the park offers exceptional outdoor recreation opportunities. Approximately 16 miles of trails traverse the park, including a portion of the statewide Buckeye Trail, allowing hikers and mountain bikers to explore diverse habitats and observe spectacular wildflowers and wildlife. Two 18-hole disc golf courses provide additional recreation. The park's centerpiece lake offers opportunities for fishing, boating (with canoe and boat rentals available), and swimming. Wellington Creek runs through the park, providing seasonal trout fishing. Reservations can be made up to 6 months in advance.

Findley State Park is located at 25381 State Route 58, Wellington, OH 44090. From Wellington, head south on State Route 58 for approximately 2 miles; the park entrance will be on your right.
