About

Findley State Park Campground is located in Wellington, Ohio, about 40 miles southwest of Cleveland. The park's 838 predominantly forested acres surround a 93-acre lake created in 1956, providing excellent habitat for woodland breeding birds and making it a popular destination along the Lake Erie Birding Trail's Huron-Lorain Loop. The campground offers 272 sites across several loops: sites 1-142 and 234-242 are non-electric, sites 143-233 have electric hookups, and sites 243-257 provide full hookups with electric, water, and sewer connections. Each site features a parking spur, picnic table, fire ring, and grill. Three rustic camper cabins with cots are available for summer rental. The campground operates year-round with reservations available up to six months in advance. Facilities include flush toilet restrooms, hot showers (closed daily 12:30-2:30 PM for cleaning), laundry facilities, a dump station, game room, and fully stocked camp store at the nature center. Recreation options include a swimming beach, playground, volleyball and basketball courts, horseshoe pits, disc golf course, archery range, and hiking trails. A nature center offers educational programs about the park's history and wildlife.
