About
Van Buren State Park is a 296-acre recreation area in Hancock County, Ohio, offering year-round camping along Rocky Ford Creek. Following a $3.9 million renovation completed in September 2024, all 61 campsites now feature full RV hookups with electric, water, and sewer connections tied to the City of Findlay's municipal water supply. The campground provides modern amenities including a dump station, vault toilets, and drinking water, though no showers are available.
The park is divided into family camping and equestrian camping sections. The equestrian area includes horse corrals at campsites, with access to approximately 12 miles of bridle trails for day-use horseback riding. Winter visitors can enjoy cross-country skiing and ice fishing when conditions permit.
Additional recreational facilities include a playground, basketball court, volleyball, disc golf course, and an amphitheater. A fenced dog park is available on the park's south side. The day-use lodge is handicap accessible and open year-round.
