About
Findley Picnic Point Shelter is a day-use picnic shelter located within Findley State Park in Lorain County, Ohio. The shelter is equipped with electricity and can be reserved for group gatherings, family events, or special occasions. It is not an overnight camping facility. Findley State Park covers 838 acres of predominantly forested terrain that was planted by Civilian Conservation Corps crews during the New Deal era. The park centers around a 93-acre lake that supports fishing and electric-motor boating. A 435-foot beach provides swimming access during warmer months. The park features 16 miles of trails for hiking and mountain biking, along with disc golf, sand volleyball, basketball, and horseshoe pits. The main campground at Findley State Park offers 272 non-electric sites with amenities including showers, flush toilets, laundry facilities, dump station, game room, and a camp store. However, the Picnic Point Shelter itself is strictly a day-use rental facility.
