An arctic front will move west to east across the region this morning, bringing snow showers and wind gusts of 35 to 40 mph. Some snow squalls are also possible along the front, briefly reducing visibilites to one-half mile or less and quickly coating area roadways. Kelleys Island State Park Campground is located on Kelleys Island, known as Lake Erie's Emerald Isle, approximately 13 miles northeast of Port Clinton, Ohio. The campground offers 129 sites distributed across non-electric (45 sites including 11 premium), electric (84 sites), and full-hookup (36 sites) options. The park encompasses 677 acres, representing nearly one-quarter of the island, and provides a peaceful lakefront camping experience with modern amenities. Campers enjoy access to flush toilets in multiple shower houses, hot showers, a dump station, and a 100-foot sandy swimming beach on Lake Erie. The campground also features premium yurts equipped with efficiency kitchens, bathrooms with showers, and furnished living areas, as well as rent-a-camp units. Pet-friendly sites are available in designated areas. Recreation opportunities include six miles of hiking trails leading to the famous Glacial Grooves, historic quarry ruins, and scenic overlooks of Lake Erie. Kelleys Island is accessible only by ferry service from Marblehead Peninsula or Sandusky on the Ohio mainland. The island's unique setting provides a distinctive camping experience combining natural beauty, geological significance, and recreational activities including fishing, boating, and wildlife watching. The campground includes amenities like volleyball courts, playgrounds, picnic areas with shelters, and boat launch ramps.

Directions

Kelleys Island is accessible only by ferry. Take the ferry from Marblehead Peninsula or Sandusky, Ohio to reach the island. The campground is located at 920 Division Street on the northern shores of Kelleys Island.
