Snow Canyon State Park campground provides a striking desert camping experience in the heart of southwestern Utah's red rock country. Located two miles into the park on Snow Canyon Drive, the campground is tucked into the orange sandstone cliffs with views of the surrounding lava fields and petrified dunes. The 7,400-acre park offers over 20 miles of trails accessible directly from camp. The campground features 38 sites including options with water and electric hookups, primitive tent sites, walk-in hike sites, and group camping areas. Modern amenities include restrooms with showers, potable water, and an RV dump station. Fire rings and grills are provided in designated areas. Campers have access to the park's visitor center, which offers snacks, water refills, and educational materials. Despite its name, Snow Canyon is a desert environment where summer temperatures frequently exceed 105°F. The park operates year-round with gates open 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily. Flash flood risk exists during monsoon season from July through September. Dogs are permitted throughout the campground and on all trails when leashed.

Directions

From St. George, head north on Bluff Street which becomes Utah State Route 18. Continue approximately 7 miles and turn left onto Snow Canyon Drive. The campground is located 2 miles into the park.
