About

Quail Creek State Park is a year-round camping destination in southwest Utah, located near Hurricane with stunning red rock desert scenery. The campground features 50 total campsites split between two areas. The newer campground includes 26 sites, numbered 26-50, each with water and electric hookups. The original campground has 24 sites, each with a shaded structure, picnic table, and fire ring, with select sites offering water and electric hookups. The park sits on a 600-acre reservoir at 3,300 feet elevation, known for having some of the warmest waters in Utah. The reservoir reaches depths of 120 feet and supports excellent fishing for rainbow trout, largemouth bass, bluegill, bullhead catfish, and crappie. Boating, swimming, and water recreation are popular year-round activities thanks to the mild winter climate. Modern facilities include flush restrooms with coin-operated showers, a dishwashing station, dump station, drinking water, a boat ramp, picnic areas, swimming beach, and fish-cleaning station. The park is open daily from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. year-round, with boat ramp hours varying seasonally. Some facilities are ADA accessible. The park serves as an excellent base for exploring nearby Zion National Park and other attractions in the St. George area.
