Quail Creek State Park is a high-desert oasis near Hurricane in Washington County, Utah. The 590-acre reservoir maintains some of the warmest waters in Utah, making it a prime destination for year-round water recreation including boating, waterskiing, and fishing for largemouth bass and rainbow trout. The red sandstone landscape and mild winters attract campers seeking an alternative to Utah's colder mountain parks. The campground offers two distinct areas. The original campground contains 24 sites, each with a private shaded structure, picnic table, and fire ring. Sites 2, 4, 6, 8, 9, 10, 12, 14, and 16 include water and electric hookups. The newer southern section (sites 25-50) provides first-come, first-serve camping with water and electric hookups at every site. Facilities include clean restrooms, showers, a dump station, and potable water stations throughout the campground. Beyond camping, the park features two boat ramps with trailer parking, a slalom ski course, beach volleyball, horseshoe pits, and access to miles of mountain biking and hiking trails. Firewood and ice are available for purchase at the entrance booth.

Directions

From Hurricane, Utah, take State Route 9 north for approximately 3 miles. Turn left onto the park access road and follow signs to the campground.
