About

Sheffield Campground is a primitive, lightly-used campground situated in the northeast corner of the Buffalo Ranger District on Bridger-Teton National Forest, just outside the John D. Rockefeller Memorial Parkway and near the southern boundary of Yellowstone National Park. The campground sits at the edge of the Teton Wilderness, offering a quiet, remote camping experience far from the crowds of nearby national parks. The campground features 11 campsites on a first-come, first-served basis with no reservations accepted. Basic amenities include a single-unit vault toilet, bear boxes for required food storage, and fire rings. Campers must bring their own water as no potable water is available. The setting is ideal for those seeking solitude and wilderness access. Sheffield Trailhead, located nearby, provides direct access into the Teton Wilderness and connects to the historic Huckleberry Lookout. The campground is accessed via Forest Service Road 30504, a dirt road off Highway 191 just before the Snake River Bridge near Flagg Ranch.
