About

Colter Bay Campground is one of the largest campgrounds in Grand Teton National Park, set within a lodgepole pine forest just a short stroll from Jackson Lake. The campground offers 324 individual campsites, 10 large group sites, 10 hiker-bicyclist sites, and 13 electric-only ADA-accessible sites. All sites include a picnic table, fire pit with metal grate, and most have bear-proof food storage lockers. RVs and trailers up to 45 feet are accommodated with a mix of back-in and pull-through gravel spaces. Colter Bay Village serves as a full-service hub with a visitor center featuring the David T. Vernon Indian artifacts collection, restaurants, grocery store, gift shop, marina with boat rentals, and horse corrals. Showers and laundry facilities are available at the Colter Bay Launderette for an additional fee. The campground provides flush toilets, potable water, and a complimentary RV dump station. WiFi is available at select village locations. The area offers extensive recreation including hiking trails to Swan Lake, Heron Pond, and Hermitage Point, as well as kayaking, canoeing, fishing, lake cruises, and horseback riding. Wildlife is abundant, with black bears, grizzly bears, moose, elk, and deer frequently observed. Proper food storage is required at all times.
