Antler Collection Not Permitted Inside Park Boundaries
Elk are shedding their antlers in and around Grand Teton. People visiting or passing through the park must note that it's illegal to take, collect, retrieve, possess, or transport any natural product, including shed antlers, from the park at any time.
Menors Ferry Road Closure
Menors Ferry Road will be closed 7/26/2025 for a special event. Access to the Chapel of the Transfiguration will be walk-in only. Parking is available at Windy Point or Craig Thomas Discovery and Visitor Center.
Fire restrictions in place
Stage 1 fire restrictions are in place. Campfires are only allowed in designated metal fire grates. Teton Interagency Fire has more information.
About
Colter Bay RV Park provides a premium camping experience within Grand Teton National Park, featuring 112 full-hookup sites nestled in a lodgepole pine forest near the shores of Jackson Lake. The RV park accommodates rigs up to 45 feet and includes 102 pull-through sites and 10 back-in sites, with six ADA-accessible sites featuring widened spaces, accessible picnic tables, and leveled pads. All sites include water, sewer, and electric hookups with 20-, 30-, and 50-amp service. Most sites are shaded and include picnic tables. The campground features paved loop roads, flush toilets, and access to coin-operated showers and laundry facilities at the nearby Colter Bay Launderette. A dump station is available seasonally. Colter Bay Village serves as the hub for recreation and services, offering restaurants, a camp store, gift shop, visitor center with Indian arts exhibits, and a marina. The area provides excellent access to hiking trails including routes to Swan Lake, Heron Pond, and Hermitage Point. Ranger-led programs, horseback riding, guided fishing trips, and scenic raft trips are available seasonally. The location offers spectacular views across Jackson Lake to Mount Moran and the northern Teton Range, with opportunities to see bears, moose, elk, deer, bald eagles, and other wildlife.
Directions
From Jackson, head north on US 26/89/191 and turn left at Moran Junction onto US 89/191/287. Continue north 10 miles to Colter Bay Junction, turn left and follow signs to the RV park. From Yellowstone, head south on US 89/191/287 for 20 miles, turn right at Colter Bay Junction and follow signs.
