About

Sharp Bridge Campground occupies a prime location on the west shore of the Schroon River along US Route 9 in the town of North Hudson. Established in 1920, it holds the distinction of being one of the oldest state campgrounds in the Adirondack Park. The 39 campsites accommodate everything from tent campers to RVs up to 25 feet, with each site featuring a fire ring and picnic table. The campground provides modern amenities including hot showers, flush toilets, potable water, and an RV dump station. A playground and picnic area add to the facilities. The surrounding area offers exceptional outdoor recreation, with brown and brook trout fishing in the Little Schroon River and access to hundreds of Adirondack hiking trails. Paddling, boating, and bicycling are popular activities in the region. Reservations are handled through ReserveAmerica up to 9 months in advance. Check-in runs from 2pm to 9pm with checkout at 11am. Maximum stay is 14 consecutive nights during peak season. Quiet hours are strictly enforced from 10pm to 7am.
