About

Lincoln Pond Campground is a remote 35-site DEC facility nestled in the eastern Adirondacks, six miles south of Elizabethtown on County Route 7. The campground provides diverse camping experiences with developed sites near the main area offering flush toilets, hot showers, and easy amenity access, as well as primitive sites in more remote sections without immediate access to water or flush toilets. Three unique boat-access-only island sites offer true backcountry seclusion on the pond. Lincoln Pond is large enough to accommodate motorboats yet sheltered from harsh winds, making it ideal for fishing and paddling. The pond is stocked with tiger muskie, largemouth bass, smallmouth bass, yellow perch, and bullhead. The campground maintains a supervised swimming beach and offers canoe, kayak, rowboat, and standup paddleboard rentals, with a car-top boat launch available. Additional amenities include a trailer dump station, firewood and ice sales, recycling area, and picnic facilities. The campground serves as an excellent base for exploring nearby wilderness areas including the Giant Mountain Wilderness, High Peaks Wilderness Complex, and Hammond Pond Wild Forest. Elizabethtown, approximately six miles away, offers shopping, dining, and other services. Lincoln Pond Campground is accessible from I-87 Exit 31.
