12:35 PM — 10:00 PM

...Please check with state and local authorities regarding guidelines for allowed activities... * The warm air temperatures today in the upper 60s to lower 70s may cause people to underestimate the dangers of the cold water temperatures which are currently only in the 40s and 50s across Lake Champlain and in the regions smaller lakes and rivers. * The cold water temperatures can quickly cause hypothermia to anyone immersed in the water. According to the US Coast Guard, when the water temperatures are below 50 degrees, the chance of immediate incapacitation due to cold shock is extremely high. Anyone on small boats, canoes or kayaks should plan accordingly if recreating this weekend and use extreme caution to avoid this threat. Paddle smart from the start and always wear your life jacket!

About

Lincoln Pond Campground provides a classic Adirondack camping experience on a mid-sized pond large enough for motorboats yet sheltered from harsh winds. The 35 campsites include 24 developed sites with access to flush toilets and potable water, plus 10 remote sites along the shore and 3 island sites reachable only by boat. Each site includes a fireplace and picnic table. Hot showers are available in a bathhouse near the beach. The facility caters to paddlers with canoe, kayak, rowboat, and stand-up paddleboard rentals, plus a car-top boat launch for those bringing their own craft. A swimming beach offers unsupervised swimming during daylight hours. Fishing opportunities include tiger muskie, largemouth and smallmouth bass, yellow perch, and bullhead. The campground operates seasonally from mid-May through early September. Reservations are available through ReserveAmerica up to 9 months in advance. Quiet hours are strictly enforced from 10 PM to 7 AM, and generators are limited to specific hours. Firewood and ice are sold on-site, and campers must use the central recycling area with clear plastic bags.
