About
Eagle Point Campground occupies a scenic stretch along the west shore of Schroon Lake in Warren County, within the Adirondack Park. Originally constructed in 1928-1929, the campground takes its name from a sandy point along the shoreline. The 72 campsites accommodate everything from tents to RVs up to 30 feet, though no electric, water, or sewer hookups are available.
Facilities include flush toilets with hot showers, a trailer dump station, water spigots throughout, and a recycling center. Each site has a picnic table and fire ring. A boat launch provides access to Schroon Lake, a 4,230-acre body of water reaching depths of 152 feet, with fishing opportunities for lake trout, largemouth and smallmouth bass, northern pike, yellow perch, and pickerel.
The campground features a swimming beach and offers kayak rentals. Pets are permitted but must be leashed at all times and are not allowed on the beach or in buildings. ADA-accessible facilities are available. Reservations can be made through ReserveAmerica up to 9 months in advance.
Directions
From Northway (I-87), take Exit 26, turn left to Route 9 north, proceed approximately 2 miles to the campground entrance.
