About
Eagle Point Campground is located on the west shore of Schroon Lake, a 4,230-acre lake in Warren County's Adirondack Park. Operating since 1928-1929, this New York State DEC campground features 72 campsites that accommodate camping equipment from tents to 30-foot RVs. The nine-mile-long lake reaches depths of 152 feet and offers excellent opportunities for boating, fishing, and water recreation. The campground provides hot showers, flush toilets, a trailer dump station, recycling center, boat launch, and kayak rentals. A picnic area includes tables, fireplaces, and charcoal grills. Swimming is available from a designated beach area. Anglers can target lake trout, largemouth bass, smallmouth bass, northern pike, yellow perch, bullhead, and pickerel. Motor boats are permitted on the lake. Nearby attractions include Pharaoh Lake Wilderness and Hoffman Notch Wilderness for hiking, the Village of Schroon Lake with its quaint Main Street shops and restaurants, the Schroon-North Hudson Historical Museum, Seagle Music Colony for performances, and Natural Stone Bridge and Caves. The campground is easily accessible from I-87 (Exit 26) via Route 9 north.
