About

Scott Reservoir is a day-use recreation area located in the Apache-Sitgreaves National Forest near Lakeside, Arizona, at an elevation of 6,800 feet. The site provides modest facilities including an accessible boat ramp, parking area, picnic tables, and portable toilets available from June through September. A garbage dumpster is also provided during the summer season. The reservoir is popular throughout the summer for fishing and motorized boating. Summer thunderstorms from July to September are frequent and abrupt, and lightning poses a significant danger. Visitors should take precautions and leave the lake immediately when storms approach. The access road via Porter Mountain Road (Forest Road 45) is very rough in some spots and requires careful driving. No potable water is available at the site. Camping in the area is prohibited. There is no fee to use this day-use recreation area.
