Alcohol Prohibitions
This Order describes acts that are prohibited upon lands, roads and trails within the National Forest System administered by the Forest Service Pacific Northwest Region in regards to alcoholic beverages.
Aquatic Invasive Species
This Order prohibits 1) possessing, storing, or transporting any aquatic invasive animal species AND 2) prohibits possessing, storing, or transporting any aquatic or riparian invasive plant species - on National Forest System lands in the Pacific Northwest Region as specified in the Order.
Restrictions on Use of Forage and Mulch Products
This Order prohibits unloading, storing, or using any straw, hay, grain, seed, or other forage or mulch products that are not state-certified weed free on the National Forest System lands, roads or trails in any Closure Area as specific in the Order.
Fremont-Winema National Forest 14 Day Stay Limit
Pursuant to 16 USC § 551 and 36 CFR § 261.50 (a) and (b), the following acts are prohibited upon all lands, roads, and trails administered by the Fremont-Winema National Forest as described in this order.

This is due to an inversion and stagnant air conditions near the surface that will trap pollutants. * WHERE...Valley areas, both west of the Cascades in Jackson, Josephine and Douglas counties, and east of the Cascades in Klamath and Lake counties. * WHEN...Until 4 PM PST Wednesday. * IMPACTS...Poor air quality may cause issues for people with respiratory problems.
About
Sandhill Crossing Campground is a remote, no-fee campground located in the Fremont-Winema National Forest, approximately 40 minutes southwest of Paisley, Oregon. Perched at 6,303 feet elevation, the campground overlooks the North Fork of the Wild and Scenic Sprague River in a peaceful lodgepole pine and meadow setting. The campground offers five campsites, each equipped with a picnic table and fire ring. This lightly-used campground is particularly popular as a hunting camp during fall season. The remote location provides a quiet escape with basic amenities including one vault toilet. Water availability may vary seasonally. The campground's proximity to the Sprague River offers opportunities for fishing, wildlife viewing, and day hiking. Access requires driving on Forest Service roads, with routes available from both Paisley (approximately 1 hour 40 minutes) and Bly (approximately 1 hour 25 minutes). The campground operates seasonally from mid-May through mid-October, closing during winter months due to snow at this elevation.
Directions
From Paisley, take Highway 31 north toward Silver Lake and turn left on County Highway 2-08 (Mill Street), continue right on Forest Service Road 3315. At its junction with FS Road 28, turn left. At FS Road 3411, turn right and continue to the campground. From Bly, take Oregon Highway 140 east toward Lakeview, turn left on Campbell Road then right on Forest Service Road 3411 and follow to the campground.
