About

Horseglade Campground and Trailhead is situated on the Oregon California and Eastern State Trail, a 100-mile multi-use trail built on the historic railbed of the OC&E Railroad. Located 40 minutes northwest of Bly in Fremont-Winema National Forest, this dispersed camping area offers access to the Woods Line Spur where trail users can explore in multiple directions. Hikers, mountain bikers, and horseback riders can head south following Five Mile Creek or venture north toward the lush Sycan Marsh to view the historic Merritt Creek Trestle. The campground provides basic amenities including picnic tables, campfire rings, and vault toilets. A parking area with room for trailer turnaround makes it accessible for visitors with larger vehicles or horse trailers. The trailhead connects to the extensive OC&E Trail system, which begins in Klamath Falls and extends east to Bly before heading north into the Sycan Marsh region. The area sees light usage and offers opportunities for wildlife viewing, fishing in nearby streams, and experiencing the remote character of the eastern Cascades. Visitors must bring all their own water as none is available on-site.

Directions

From Bly, take Oregon Highway 140 west toward Klamath Falls and turn right onto Ivory Pine Road. Continue north on Ivory Pine Road. Turn left on Forest Service Road 27 to the trailhead.
