San Luis Reservoir Sra Group Campground

Open — Open year-round. Available by reservation only. All boats must be removed from the water by sunset.

About

San Luis Reservoir State Recreation Area Group Campground is located at the San Luis Creek Area along the scenic shoreline of O'Neill Forebay in the western San Joaquin Valley near historic Pacheco Pass. The facility offers two distinct group camping areas available by reservation only. Group Camp A can accommodate up to 60 people and 15 vehicles, while Group Camp B can accommodate 30 people and 10 vehicles. Both sites are equipped with shade ramadas, tables, and fire rings for group gatherings. The group campground provides flush toilets and hot pay showers, making it more comfortable than the primitive camping options elsewhere in the park. A 5-mile accessible walking trail follows the O'Neill Forebay shoreline, connecting the campground to the North Beach day-use area. The campground is open year-round and situated in an area with little natural shade and exposure to wind, typical of the western San Joaquin Valley landscape. All boats must be removed from the water by sunset. Fires are permitted only in the provided fire rings.
