About

River Bend Campground offers a secluded camping experience along Huntington Creek in the Manti-La Sal National Forest. Located on Utah Highway 31, the Huntington Canyon National Scenic Byway, this primitive site sits at roughly 7,100 feet elevation in a shaded creekside setting. The campground consists of a single double site that can accommodate up to 12 people. Facilities are minimal: a graveled parking spur, picnic table, and fire ring. There is no potable water or toilet on-site. Campers can access a vault restroom at Little Bear Campground approximately half a mile north, and potable water is available at Stuart Guard Station about 7 miles away. Recreational opportunities include fishing in Huntington Creek and access to several hiking and biking trails: Huntington Pipeline Trail (3.5 miles), Left Fork of Huntington National Recreational Trail (6 miles), Tie Fork/Wild Cattle/Pole Canyon Trails (7+ miles), and Horse Canyon Trails (8+ miles).

Directions

From Huntington, Utah, head northwest on Highway 31 for approximately 13 miles. The campground is on the left side of the road.
